Auditions
Auditions will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Please click the link to see the audition times, arranged by grade and google order number: 2012 audition times
Grades 11-12 will audition at the home studio of Sharon Roth, located at 1700 Ridgeway Drive, Glendale, 91202. View Map
Grades 9-10 will audition at the home studio of Carl Matthes, located at 5321 Neal Drive, Los Angeles, 90041. View Map
Grades 6 and 8 will audition at the Salvation Army Chapel, located at 320 West Windsor Road, Glendale, CA 91204-2017. View Map
We are requesting that students and families in our competition bring canned goods with them to the Salvation Army on the day of the competition. The Salvation Army has graciously opened their doors for our competition for the past 5 years, and we wish to show them our support and appreciation. It is very important to us and our mission that our families help support music and the Salvation Army on audition day.
Grades 3-5 and 7 will audition at the home studio of Vera Hoalim, located at 401 N Cordova St, Alhambra 91801. View Map
Personalized emails with audition information will also be sent to each student and teacher 5-7 days before the auditions. Please check your bulk mail and check with your teacher before contacting us for missing audition emails.
All applicants should arrive a few minutes early to their audition and bring the original sheet music for their audition pieces. There are no warm-up pianos at the audition sites. The auditions are private; each participant will play alone for the judges. Written comments from the judges will be mailed to each participant after the auditions.
A list of winners and their repertoire will be posted on this website after all auditions have finished, either on Saturday night or on Sunday morning. Honorable mention winners will not perform in the Winners’ Concert, but must be in attendance to receive their award.
